Fennimore United Methodist Church

What are We About?

The people of Fennimore United Methodist Church enjoy living out their Christian faith, under the Denominational mandate of having Open Minds, Open Hearts and Open Doors. Our mission statement is “Bring In, Build Up and Reach Out”. We strive to be witnesses of the love of God in Christ as we minister to the needs of the people in our church family, community, and the world. We truly believe that “strangers are simply friends we have not met.” We most sincerely welcome you to be a part of our church family in Fennimore, Wisconsin. We are doing whatever it takes to share the Love of God with everyone we meet. We want you to join us in the adventure of life!

Our christian Beliefs

United Methodists share a common hertiage with all Christians.  From the Book of Discipline we share the following basic affirmtions in common with all Christian communities.
  • God – who is one, is revealed in three distinct persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  He is “everlasting” and “infinite” in “power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and love.”
  • Jesus – we believe in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ’s life who died on the cross for us and was resurrected demonstating God’s great love for us.
  • The Holy Spirit – is God working in our midst.  His spirit guides, comforts, and strengthens us, if we will but listen.
  •  Huamn Beings – We have been made in the image of the Creator.  Like God we have the ability to love and care, to communicate, and to create.
  • The Church – is the body of Christ which makes diciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
  • The Bible – the primary authority for our faith.  It is God’s instructions for us.
  • God’s Reign – is both a present reality and future hope.
